Conceptual design of the Gas Injection and Vacuum System for DTT NBI

The Divertor Tokamak Test (DTT) is a new experimental facility whose construction starting in Frascati, Rome, Italy; its main goals are improving the understanding of plasma-wall interactions and supporting development ITER DEMO. DTT will be equipped with Neutral Beam Injector (NBI) based on negative deuterium ions, designed to inject 10 MW power tokamak. A fundamental system for good operations NBI Gas injection Vacuum System (GVS). Indeed, efficiency entire strongly depends performance GVS. GVS composed two systems working parallel: grounded section connected vacuum vessel, high voltage part ion source vessel at -510 kV voltage. feature fore (given by screw roots pumps) plus turbo-molecular pumps located side walls Non-Evaporable Getter (NEG) inside upper lower surfaces. On other hand, compact mounted external surface vessel) also sidewalls vessel. dedicated gas feed process neutralizer. This paper gives description conceptual design NBI, procedure followed optimize this considering operational requirements constraints NBI.
